2015 BIA for Proposed Development of Chestnut Nature Park

This Biodiversity Impact Assessment is being conducted in response to the Proposed Development of Chestnut Nature Park, located in the Central Catchment Nature Reserve of Singapore. The proposed Chestnut Nature Park will have amenities such as shelters, pavilions, information map boards, toilets as well as a separate hiking and mountain biking trails.

Enviro Pro was tasked with the documentation of a biodiversity inventory of the local flora and fauna as well as the assessment of potential biodiversity impacts. Lastly, EPGI recommended feasible mitigation steps and measures to reduce the impact of both construction and operation phase of the development.

The following was done:

- Belt Transects for Flora Inventory

- Active Transect Survey for Fauna Inventory

- Testing for water quality
