2005 EIA of Two Oil Palm Plantations
Enviro Pro performed an environmental assessment of mill and plantation operations at two plantations of 10,000 ha to 15,000 ha in size. This included the treatment of liquid and solid mill waste, handling and storage of hazardous materials, health & safety aspects for workers.
The scope of work also includes water quality assessments of palm oil mill effluent and advise on further treatment options. Field operations were assessed on the type and use of pesticides and fertilizers, agronomic management standards, biodiversity protection and water use. Compliance checks with AMDAL regulations and international environmental guidelines and best practices were also made.
